The four year olds at my preschool love nail polish. Today, one of the boys had five different colours.
He was very proud!

Snow!
Now the snow has arriveed in Sweden. Here on the west coast we have about 10 cm. That´s enough to have fun in the slopes.
This is how it looked this morning at the preschool where I work.

Our dramatic play area. Students are responsible for planning and implementing all the activities with children in these areas. They must make sure the activities are apporpriate and safe. The lecturer has an opportunity to give instant feedback and support as they are working alongside the student.

We have kept two of the rooms set up as a child care facility and run community playgroups once a week. Parents from the local community bring in their children to participate in a range of activities. The students work with the children, but under the supervision and guidance of a lecturer, and the parents also stay with the children. This has provided a wonderful 'real life' opportunity for our students to practice what they are learinng in a safe, supported environment.

We are fortunate to have kitchen facilities in our building and we use this area to run practical sessions about food preparation and storage. The students really enjoy this because it is 'hands on' and they get to enjoy a meal together afterwards! The students have to design a menu and then prepare one meal from the menu.
