This is a picture of the High School where I do my workplace learning to become a teacher at the Child care and recreation programme. At this school the students can study to become an nursery nurse or classroom assistant but they can also study
Leisure time and Health.
How many students attend the programme? Is it like in Gunilla's school- that there aren't many students that apply? It seems like an environment where they learn all kinds of different and devloping things, according to your photos.
ReplyDeleteThe building at the picture is where the students who studying music, theatre and esthtics belong and this is where the stundent from Child Care and recreation programme have their dramaclass.
ReplyDeleteIn second grade their are 19 students who studying pedagogic work and in first grade their are approximately 30 students. But in first grade some students are going to study Healthcare and some horse-riding. But I think the majority are studying child care.
In third grade 4 students studying Healthcare and approximately 12 studying child care.
Hi Petra,
ReplyDeleteDo you know the reason why the number of students going in to second year and thrid year decreases? We see a similar pattern in children's servcies here in Perth.
I don´t have an answer why the number of students decreases, some maybe drop out or change education. It is positive that more students now attend to the programme. In Sweden the upper secondary school has restructuring and now the students in Child care programme get a title as nursery nurse after the programme. Before the restructuring they didn´t get that. That can be one explaination to why more students applied.
